Young Researchers’ Round Table
It is a conference and workshop for doctoral students, post docs and junior researchers.
With the aim to provide a flexible space to broaden and deepen participants’ understanding on scientific researches related to a wide range of environmental risk issues, this event provides a mutual platform for the exchange of knowledge, expertise and good practices.
Design for risk reduction
The Round Table is held parallel to the International School on Awareness and Responsibility of Environmental Risk, which is now in its seventh edition. The objective is to understand the nature of risk according to an individual approach of the participants. It is not intended to be in agreement or disagreement with one or more thesis in particular, but it is, in fact, to address and discuss the problems of different areas, vulnerable to man-made and natural risks Participants are encouraged to focus on their research within the concepts of vulnerability and resilience, as well as to reflect on the role of design for risk reduction and mitigation.
